A few years ago I lost about 13 pounds in less than two months, OVER THE THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS!!! I didn't do it with exercise, counting calories, or eating anything that you're "supposed" to eat.
My strategy was simple. I started listening to what my BODY wanted. Let me repeat - what my BODY wanted. Before eating anything, I stopped, breathed, got grounded, felt myself in my body, and waited for it to tell me what it was hungry for. Sometimes it was weird stuff. Sometimes it was "healthy." Sometimes it wasn't.
Since then, I've gained back some of the weight and I'd like to try eating mindfully again.
