The Body Doesn't Lie

If You Listen, It Will Tell You What You're Holding

Tight shoulders, a lump in the throat, a pain in the chest - all have stories to tell . . .

. . . they tell us what we're really feeling as opposed to what we think we are feeling.

Deeper "listening" reveals suppressed emotions and unconscious beliefs stored as "energy" in our bodies. Left unacknowledged these trapped energies tend to color our perspective, influence our decisions, and take a toll on our bodies - resulting in what we call stress.

If we want to feel better, if we want to feel free, we must meet these limiting energies where we stored them in the first place - not in our heads, but in our bodies.

It's to our bodies we must return. It's in this reconnection to the source that we can heal and grow.

It's the way of nature and the animals. It's our way too. It's just that we've forgotten how.

The Body Is the Doorway To the Unconscious Mind.

Learning how to access the bodymind via ordinary body sensations, will often reveal stuck "energy" in the form of feelings, beliefs, and thought patterns.

Therapist Reports Physical Healing After Exercise At Workshop:

. . . What really amazed me the most, however, was the first-hand healing that occurred for me through my participation with a Body Centered Exercise with you, and with being in the ring with your beautiful horses. I was able to release sadness that I really didn’t even know I held. I know exactly where I held it too. For YEARS I have had left low back and hip pain. Last night, when I got back from the workshop and was getting ready for bed, I went to take my usual Tylenol to ease up my pain so I can sleep, when I suddenly realized that I no longer had the pain! The pain is still gone this morning and I wanted to let you know and to say thank you. - DB.

"The Subconscious Mind Is Nothing Other Than the Body Itself"

The following content is taken directly from the introduction to a 4-part lecture given by Candace Pert, PhD., neuroscientist. For other videos in this series, please visit Nature's Way Home's YouTube channel or CandacePert.com.

Your Body Is Your Subconscious Mind

All of our cells are intelligent entities. The mood altering neuropeptides are active, not only in the brain, but also in our blood, organs, bones, and muscles.

When our emotions turn us red, make us sweat, or produce sensations of bliss - these effects are NOT responses to messages from the brain, rather they are produced directly at the cellular level. When neuropeptides bind with their receptors, this is what make both the peptides and their receptors - molecules of emotion.

This discovery puts to rest, the classical western understanding of the mind as a function of the brain. Instead, the mind can now be understood as a constantly changing flow of molecular information - in motion, throughout the body.

Virtually all of this activity takes place outside the realm of conscious awareness. The subconscious mind is nothing other than the body itself - faithfully reporting the chemical processes that enter our consciousness only when we recognize them as emotion.
