Horses are prey animals. Like other prey animals, their survival depends on their ability to "read" or sense the intentions of predators.
Despite their domestication, they are master intuitives, acutely aware of the subtle changes in "energy" that occur in their environment - the weather, other animals, and especially humans.
They are therefore much better than any human therapist could ever hope to be, at seeing what's going on beneath the surface. And they reflect what they see on the spot, without hold-back, without sugar-coating it.
